On the Pacific Coastline just next to the Costa Rican border, San Juan del Sur has become a favourite spot for foreign, especially American, real estate investors. Spilling in from the higher priced Costa Rica, the English language has somewhat taken over this Nicaraguan paradise, making everything more or less easy to understand for non Spanish speakers. In reality, the foreign investment in the area has pushed up the price of everything from restaurant food to sun tan lotion, but it is still a spot that is well worth visiting and the quieter, less developed, neighbouring areas even more so.
There’s much more to come, please pop back in a few days!
